Church Agios Dimitrios
The impressive 19th-century church of Agios Dimitrios takes dominance over Afitos village’s main square. It was built on the ruins of an early Christian church. The Basilica of Agios Demetrios was constructed with locally quarried stone and is the largest Eastern Orthodox Christian church with a dome in Halkidiki.
